What a way to end the division season! First of all let's give a big thanks to the New Life Church in Amery, WI and the Discipleship House for hosting the Friday night meeting.

The 27 teams of anglers were greeted to a meal of hotdogs, hamburgers, and Errol Moore's new favorite dish, Bratts. After replentishing their energy, they were treated to the testimonies of two members of the Discipleship house. The Discipleship house is an 18 month program that leads troubled men to Christ. Both speakers gave their heart felt message of how Christ has turned their lives from drugs and crime to allow them to be with their families and become productive Christian members of society. Praise God!!! After their message, we had two first time committments to Christ and five rededications. Prayer and Worship is a wonderful thing! Share your testimony, you can make a difference, Praise God!!!!

Saturday's tournament was no short display of fireworks either. The 28 teams were held up for half an hour due to lighting. The teams blasted off shortly after 6a.m. to search for the ellusive Wappogasset lunkers. Rob Keller and Steve Bahls left no room for error at the scales. The points leaders secured the division and the $725 division purse, plaques, and jackets with their dynomite 5 fish bag weighing 18.77 lbs. Their catch was anchored with the 2nd big bass of the tournament, a 4.69 lb lunker. Along with the 1st place in bonus bucks, they had a tournament winning day earnings of $1,382.50. Rob would like to thank his sponsors Warner's Dock of New Richmond,WI, Quality Contracting of Little Canada, MN, Stratos Boats, and Evinrude Motors. Without these sponsors, Rob stated this season would have been much tougher. Second place for the day went to the team of Troy Quade and Ted Spencer with an impressive Wappo bag of 17.31 lbs. Their catch earned them $580 on the day. Third place went to the team of Bob Soderberg and Mike Schuett with another impressive Wappo bag of 17.28 lbs. What was even as impressive was that Mike fished with one arm in a sling from healing from a surgery. Their catch along with second place in bonus bucks earned them $560.50 for the day. Way to be strong Mike. Fourth place went to the team of brothers, Tim and Chad Andrea with a Wappo bag that is generally good enough to win at 13.69 lbs. Their catch along with the third spot in bonus bucks netted them $407 on the day. Rounding out the last money spot was the team of Rob Newhouse and Mike Anselmo with a catch of 13.45 lbs. Their catch was anchored with the big fish of the tournament at 4.85 lbs. With big fish, their catch earned them $395 on the day.

Great job to all who fished this season and thank you to all those who fished and participated behind the scenes.
