Enough is Enough!

This was the message shared at the Friday night meeting of the 5/19/2007 Lake Wissota Tournament at Mouldy's Archery & Tackle shop by guest speaker, State Assemblyman, and owner of Mouldy's Archery & Tackle, Terry Moulden. Terry gave his testimony of idolizing Al Linder of In-Fisherman and hearing the story of when Al came to Christ. When the minister came driving up the drive way the day after Al's son crawled into his lap and asked "Daddy can we pray like you do when your alone?" Al decided ENOUGH WAS ENOUGH and dropped to his knees and came to Christ. Hearing this message made Terry reflect on his life and ask himself the same question of when enough was enough. This was also true for 6 of our brothers and sisters who claimed first time committments. We also had 8 rededications after listening to Terry's message. When will you decide when enough is enough?

Saturday was another great day. The wind blew a bit but not near as hard as the Friday pre-fish. The Rod & Gun Club landing at Lake Wissota hosted an excellent location for the tournament take off and weigh-in for the 22 boat feild of contestants. The members of the Rod & Gun Club were excellent hosts and assisted in any manner they could. I would highly recommend any one looking for a place to run a tournament out of Lake Wissota. Give these guys a call.

It was the team of Kevin Turner and Scott Supri who decided enough was enough at the end of the day with their 5 fish bag of small mouth weighing 17.57 lbs which earned them $990 for the day. Just behind them in second place for the tournament was the team of Frank Savino and Bryan LaPointe with their 5 fish bag of small mouth weighing 15.83 lbs which earned them $844.50. Their bag also contained the 4.23 lbs big fish of the tournament. They also took first place honors in the bonus bucks category. Third place went to the team of Pat Schlapper and Jake Thibedeau with their 5 fish bag of small mouth weighing 15.55 lbs. They also took the second big bass of the tournament and second place in the bonus bucks category. Their bag for the day earned them $581.50 for the day. Fourth place went to the team of Wes Haney and Barry Rettke who also took the last spot in the bonus bucks category. Their daily bag of 5 small mouth weighed in at 14.85 lbs which earned them a total of $329 for the day.

Our points race is heating up after just two events. 1st place is tied with 386 points with the teams of Wes Haney and Barry Rettke (Former Division Winners) and the Father/Son team of Steve and Michael Hansen. Right behind them for 3rd at 378 points is the team of Duane Johnson Jr. and Chuck Richardson. And rounding out the top five and hot on 3rd places heals is a tie for 4th place at 377 points between the teams of Brad Austin and Patrick McBride and Frank Savino and Bryan LaPointe. Come join us at our next tournament on June 30 on Bone Lake to see how these teams and all the others battle it out at weigh-in.
